Giving Back: How The Rectory Clinic Supports Our Local Community

At The Rectory Clinic, we believe that wellbeing isn’t just about teeth, it’s about caring for our community too. That’s why we were proud to take part in Newbury BID’s first Community Clean-Up of the year.

On Thursday 19th March, more than 30 volunteers from local businesses, charities, and community groups came together to make Newbury town centre shine. Our team helped collect litter, clear overgrown weeds, clean public bins, and remove old cable ties from lampposts and street signs. In total, volunteers gathered more than 45 bin bags of rubbish – over 2,000 litres – making a real difference for residents, visitors, and local businesses.

We were thrilled to join forces with so many wonderful organisations, including Newbury Building Society, West Berkshire Council, Elis Cleanroom, PALS, Volunteer Centre West Berkshire, Lions Club, Restyled By SLC, and of course, the members of the public who gave their time so generously. A special thanks also goes to Côte Newbury and GAIL’s Bakery for keeping us fuelled with refreshments and treats.

Participating in initiatives like this reflects our values at The Rectory Clinic: promoting health, wellbeing, and positivity, not just in the clinic, but across the wider community.

We’re already looking forward to the next Community Clean-Up on Thursday 19th August, and we encourage anyone who wants to give back to get involved by emailing info@newburybid.com.

At The Rectory Clinic, we’re committed to doing more than improving smiles, we’re helping our town thrive.
