Just brilliant! The facilities are spotless, relaxing and comfortable. The staff are outstandingly friendly and helpful. Alfie is an absolute master of his art, and has been so flexible in finding time to fit me in at short notice. I had two new crowns fitted in January - they are perfect and the cost was very reasonable. I simply couldn't be happier and recommend the Rectory Clinic thoroughly and without hesitation.

Probably the most apprehensive person to visit the dentist, but the experience was second to none. Relaxed environment from the moment you walked in. Clean and hygienic. New scanner means no more negatives stuffed in your mouth, as that always made me gag. Highly recommended if you are needing dental help with a nervous disposition. Thankyou.

My wife & I have been regular patients of Alfie for many years, as soon as you walk into this new Clinic you are made to feel welcome & totally at ease, I cannot recommend him or any of his team enough. Yesterday I visited for a routine appointment with Alfie & also a dental hygiene appointment with Amanda. This involved a new procedure using advanced airflow technology which is much less invasive & far more comfortable than the old process. Thank you everyone at the Rectory Clinic.

New customer to this new practise , came highly recommended by friends . I’m not good with the dentist so went in with an open mind . I’ve never felt more welcome in a dental practice , such a lovely atmosphere . Alfie the main man makes you feel very relaxed and the hygienists was amazing , actually came out smiling . Also the ladies on reception are brilliant and make you feel very welcome. A big thumbs up from me and will be going back . Well done and good luck

Completed the Cryo Chamber for the first time and it was an amazing experience which helped with an injury I have. So much more efficient and effective than an ice bath. Also great staff and facilities.

Meet Alfie

Dr Alfie Chan BDS(Lond.), DRDP(Lond.), Dip.ImplantDent.(Lond.), Qualified: UK.

Alfie grew up in Hampstead, N.W. London, before qualifying in 1995 with a B.D.S. from King’s College Hospital, London.

Before moving into general practice, he gained valuable hospital experience in Maxillofacial and Oral Surgery, as well as Children’s Dentistry. 

Alfie went on to complete postgraduate studies at the Eastman Dental Institute, where he was awarded the Diploma in Restorative Dental Practice with Distinction in 2006. He furthered his expertise with a Certificate in Surgical Implantology and a Certificate in Advanced Endodontics the following year. In 2014, he achieved his Diploma in Implant Dentistry from the prestigious Eastman University of London.

As Principal Dentist of The Rectory Clinic, Alfie is dedicated to evidence-based dentistry and is committed to providing the highest standard of treatment for patients of all ages. 

He has developed a keen interest in Sports Dentistry and the dental and oral management of elite athletes, volunteering his time with grassroots sport, England Rugby, and the Commonwealth Games. 

Alfie is also a regular speaker at CPD events, where he highlights the importance of safeguarding within the dental team.

Outside of dentistry, Alfie enjoys spending time with his wife, children, and their larger-than-life Pug. He can often be found in the kitchen cooking his favourite meals, building ever-more Lego creations, or at an airport ready to explore a new country.

Meet Fabrizio

Fabrizio was born and raised in the historic city of Rome, Italy. Pursuing a passion for dentistry, Fab embarked on an educational journey to Johannesburg, South Africa, where he completed his studies in Dentistry. 

During his studies, his struggles and efforts were praised when he was elected President of the Dental Students Council of his University. After graduating, Fab relocated to the United Kingdom and began a distinguished career in some of London’s most prestigious clinics, including those on Harley Street, Wimpole Street, Belgravia, and South Kensington. 

Throughout his professional journey, Fab has continuously sought to enhance his expertise through post-graduate studies in Surgery and Implantology, Cosmetic Dentistry, and Non-Surgical Cosmetic Procedures, such as Botox and Dermal Fillers. And he was the co-author of two articles in highly respected scientific journals, on lips anatomy in cosmetic procedures. 

Fluent in four languages, Fab is able to communicate effectively with a diverse patient base, further enhancing the patient experience. Away from dentistry, Fab enjoys travelling and spending time with his friends, often showcasing his Italian cuisine. 

Meet Wayne

Wayne has been a General Dental Practitioner for over 35 years, working in both South Africa and the UK. 

He has always aimed to provide high-quality, patient-focused care in a calm and reassuring way. Over the years, he’s enjoyed building lasting relationships with patients and supporting them with their dental health.

Wayne has continued to keep his skills current through ongoing professional development, with particular interests in restorative and implant dentistry. He has worked both as a practice owner and as part of larger teams, always putting patient comfort and trust first.

Outside of work, Wayne is a family man who enjoys sport and the outdoors. He keeps active through cycling and motorbike riding, having spent his younger years rowing and playing rugby.

Meet Mandie

Mandie qualified as a Hygienist in Leeds in 1989, and also studied for the local anaesthetic qualification at the Eastman institute in 1994.

Mandie has spent many years working alongside private specialists in Periodontics, Paediatrics, Orthodontics and Implantology. Mandie started her dental career as a Dental Nurse working in a children’s hospital dealing with babies born with cleft palates. 

As a Hygienist she has lectured at Oxford Brookes to student midwives, was secretary of the South East BSDHT for 10 years and also travelled to Romania on a dental charity visit which was very rewarding.

Mandie has a busy home life with her children and grandchildren so never a dull moment! Her passions are live music and the seaside, especially Cornwall.

Meet Mariola

Born, raised and educated in Poland, Mariola has built a strong career in dental hygiene, supported by many years of experience in healthcare, including working with patients with additional care needs. 
 
Her dual background as an occupational therapist and dental hygienist has shaped her gentle, patient-centred approach to care.
 
After moving to the UK, Mariola qualified as a dental nurse and later returned to her passion for dental hygiene through extensive hands-on training and GDC registration. 
She has a particular talent for caring for nervous patients, helping them feel relaxed, reassured and confident throughout their treatment.
 
Outside of work, Mariola enjoys reading crime novels, swimming, keeping up to date with developments in science, medicine and natural therapies, and spending time in nature with her dog and cat.

Meet Abigail

Abigail is a qualified dental nurse with a passion for oral surgery and cosmetic enhancements in dentistry. 

Abigail has been nursing since 2017 and she has been dedicated to making her patients feel comfortable and confident, always striving to help them feel their best. 

Alongside her dental career, she is also a certified aesthetician, offering various treatments in her own salon in the evenings and on weekends. 

Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her friends and new husband Harvey.

Meet Jess

Jess is a qualified Dental Nurse who has been nursing since 2021. Highly organised and patient-focused, she is passionate about creating a calm and supportive environment for patients of all ages.

Jess has completed additional training in fluoride application and impression-taking, expanding her skills to provide a wider range of support within the clinic. She enjoys being part of a team that combines modern dentistry with innovative treatments, helping patients feel confident and well cared for.

Outside of work, Jess enjoys the outdoors spending time with her young daughter and fiance and walking her Miniature Pinscher.

Meet Katie

Katie qualified as a dental nurse in 2006 and has continued to develop her professional career by gaining an Implant Nursing Certificate from the prestigious King’s College London, alongside certificates in Oral Health Education, Dental Radiography, and Dental Orthodontics.

She has many years of experience working in private practice, assisting across a range of specialist areas of dentistry. Katie is passionate about learning and continuously developing her skills to expand her knowledge and enhance the patient experience.

Katie is half South African and half Portuguese, adding to the growing diversity of languages spoken at The Rectory Clinic.

Outside of work, Katie enjoys travelling with her husband and son, and spending time with family and friends. Katie enjoys watching plenty of sport such as tennis, horse racing, rugby and football – specifically Tottenham Hotspur.

Meet Aimée

Aimée qualified as a dental nurse in 2010 and has since built over a decade of experience in clinical practice, education, and leadership. 

She has gained a wealth of postgraduate qualifications, including the National Certificate in Dental Radiography, Oral Health Education, Implant Nursing, Dental Sedation, and Phlebotomy. 

Aimée also holds a Training and Education Award, a Certificate in Vocational Assessing, a Certificate in Leading Internal Quality Assurance, and a Diploma in Management and Leadership.

As Director of The Rectory Clinic, Aimée oversees the daily management and operations of the clinic, ensuring that all services run smoothly and that clinicians continue to provide the highest standards of care. 

Her background in education and training allows her to bring a strong focus on professional development and clinical excellence, both within the team and in the services delivered.

Outside of work, Aimée enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and her lively Pug. Whenever possible, she can be found in the Caribbean, soaking up the sunshine.

Meet Jo

Joanna has over 20years of experience in dentistry, combining strong administrative expertise with a background in specialist dental nursing. She has previously worked as a Patient Coordinator, Business Administrator, and Marketing lead, fully supporting patients through every stage of their treatment journey at The Rectory Clinic.

Her blend of clinical knowledge and administrative experience makes her a key member of the team, dedicated to providing professional and compassionate care.

In her spare time Joanna enjoys horticulture , architecture and traveling.

Meet Dr Zaman

Dr Zaman is a local GP with a special interest in wellness, longevity medicine, and holistic patient care. With years of experience in General Practice and a strong academic background, he takes a proactive approach to health — focusing not just on treating illness, but on optimising long-term wellbeing.

At The Rectory Clinic, Dr Zaman offers a range of private services including General Practice consultations, aesthetic treatments, and IV vitamin therapy — combining evidence-based medicine with the latest in preventative and aesthetic care to help patients feel and look their best.

Away from practice, Dr Zaman enjoys home life,  spending time with his family and friends.
