Alfie grew up in Hampstead, Northwest London, before qualifying in 1995 with a B.D.S. from King’s College Hospital, London. Before moving into general practice, he gained valuable hospital experience in Maxillofacial and Oral Surgery, as well as Children’s Dentistry.
While in general practice Alfie went on to complete postgraduate studies at the Eastman Dental Institute, where he was awarded the Diploma in Restorative Dental Practice with Distinction in 2006. He furthered his expertise with a Certificate in Surgical Implantology and a Certificate in Advanced Endodontics the following year. In 2014, he achieved his Diploma in Implant Dentistry from the prestigious Eastman University of London.
As Principal Dentist of The Rectory Dental Clinic, Alfie is dedicated to evidence-based dentistry and is committed to providing the highest standard of treatment for patients of all ages. He is also a regular speaker at CPD events, where he highlights the importance of safeguarding within the dental team.
Alfie has been a dentist in the Newbury area for the past 20 years. He studied sports dentistry at University College London and has worked with England Rugby as well as local junior football teams. He has developed a keen interest in Sports Dentistry and the dental and oral management of elite athletes, volunteering his time with grassroots sport, England Rugby, and the Commonwealth Games.
Outside of dentistry, Alfie enjoys spending time with his wife and children. He can often be found in the kitchen cooking his favourite meals, building ever-more Lego creations, or at an airport ready to explore a new country.
